About the position


This job posting is for a Cost Estimation engineer for a mid to senior-level position at the client end. The position is for the Hyderabad location, WFO mode. We would prefer candidates who are in the Hyderabad area with Automobile exposure.


Job Title: Cost Estimation Engineer


Department: Sales


Required Experience: 5 to 8 years


Roles and Responsibilities


  1. To prepare a costing template (business plan) of an allocated program, to compile cost data into the comapny's standard financial tool.
  2. To Facilitate and lead all cost estimating and business analysis for the allocated program.
  3. To work with cross-functional teams like Program, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and controlling to obtain relevant cost information.
  4. To support various key business decision-making activities like Make Vs Buy, New Program quotation, and Profitability improvement activities for Gate 0-5 programs.
  5. To work with a Global cross-functional team (European, North America) team in multiple time zones.


Key Requirements:


Experience of 5 to 8 years working in a Tier 1 auto ancillary company, preferably in the Cost Estimation field.

  1. The candidate will be working on global programs, Cross-functional team is based in multiple regions like France/Germany/EU Region/North America, so prior experience of working with global teams/culture is desirable.
  2. Must have exposure to a typical Tier 1 automotive business environment, must have worked on a project (any function) from Gate 0-5
  3. Excellent Communication and Coordination Skills.
  4. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a must.
