Account Manager- Sales

This job opening is for one of Business units which is a leading airline and travel management company, providing diverse expertise across passenger and cargo sales.
The Sales Executive’s direct revenue generation from the designated area and assistance with GSA queries will contribute to the overall region’s development. Responsible for building up long-term relations with existing long tail clients in assigned portfolio and GSA partners’ teams. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you'll join a diverse and adaptable team focused on effectively orchestrating every aspect of India Sales. This collaborative team is dedicated to realising company’s commercial goals, implementing sales strategies, and driving revenue performance.
• The role encompasses a range of responsibilities, from aiding in account management, contract negotiation, revenue generation, reporting, and customer relations.
• Working for an iconic brand like Virgin Atlantic with a world class reputation for incredible products and experiences, you’ll be expected to get to grips with the industry and marketplace quickly so you can forge ahead and make the most of revenue opportunities.
• You’ll need to be proactive and adopt a mix of short and long-term strategies. Because retaining and nurturing existing client relationships and establishing new ones is such a big part of the job, it’s important that you’re a super sharp communicator and a natural at managing relationships.
• Sometimes you’ll work independently. Other times, you’ll work as part of a wider team. So, a positive, flexible and committed approach and an ability to take on lots of responsibility are really important characteristics.
Key Accountabilities
•Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer accounts (agencies, TMCs and corporates)
•Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in online as well as offline markets with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executives
•Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize sales and revenue
•Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
•Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
•Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales revenue targets
•Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. monthly or quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
•Generate progress reports for clients and senior leaders within the organization
•Collaborate with sales team to identify and growth opportunities within territory
•Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly
