Primary responsibility is to drive Sales strategies, revenue growth, and market expansion across India and South East Asia. The incumbent will lead efforts to strengthen customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and drive operational excellence.
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the overall business objectives across
India and South East Asia.
• Establish revenue goals, sales forecasts, and key performance indicators to ensure targets
are met or exceeded.
• Identify market trends and opportunities, ensuring adaptability in the sales approach to
remain competitive.
• Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key
demographics.
• Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development.
• Evangelize the product, delight customers by anticipating/understanding their needs and
proposing the best solutions.
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our
company's relationship with them.
• Provide support to the team in generating leads and closing deals; Guide them to develop
techno-commercial documents or presentations to explain the product information,
pricing, benefits, etc.
Market Penetration & Expansion
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify growth opportunities in existing and new
markets.
• Drive sales efforts to expand footprint within key segments, ensuring strategic business
development.
• Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and key decision-makers in
target industries.
Key Account Management
• Develop and implement strategies to identify, acquire, retain and grow key accounts.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs,
challenges, and objectives.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth from key accounts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues,
and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific
needs of key customers.
Sales Operations & Reporting
• Oversee sales operations, ensuring effective pipeline management, pricing strategies, and
deal closure.
• Monitor and report sales performance, ensuring that sales data is analysed for actionable
insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, engineering,
and finance to align goals and operations.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in each market.
• Manage risks related to market entry, sales contracts, and business development activities.
Team Leadership
• Build, lead, mentor, and develop the team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent
customer success
• Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their performance
and foster professional growth
• Set clear objectives, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular performance
evaluations for team members.
• Work in collaboration with Human Resources in retaining high performers and fostering an
open and transparent work environment
Skills and Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; bachelor’s in engineering,
preferred
• 12-15 years of proven experience in Sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in
B2B Sales, preferably in the region (India and/or South East Asia)
• Previous experience in industrial automation is a must; experience in robotics is a plus
• Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share in a competitive
environment.
• Proven experience of managing large accounts spread across different geographies.
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing high-performing, diverse, and
geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business
objectives.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven
decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
