Job Summary:

The Supplier Strategy Manager at Pinnacle plays a crucial role in analyzing data in the VMS and conceptualizing this data to our suppliers. This person will drive the management of staff augmentation suppliers in collaboration with clients and MSP account leadership and focuses on implementing supplier management best practices, leading the supplier strategy for either one large customer or multiple small/medium customers.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and execute tasks and service offerings within supplier strategy and onboarding.
  • Align with suppliers and account teams on operational matters such as contracts and data.
  • Independently handle data-related requests by extracting information from Tableau or the VMS with minimal direction.
  • Collaborate with clients and PMO to identify and drive program roadmaps.
  • Be the primary point of contact for stakeholder relationships.
  • Complete operational tasks aligned with supplier strategy projects (goals update, gap analysis, and QBRs).
  • Drive efficiency through process improvement, innovation, and automation.
  • Ensure supplier data upkeep and refresh.
  • Support administrative functions within supplier strategy responsibilities (scheduling QBRs, correcting supplier portal data, sending surveys).
  • Obtain feedback from MSP Specialists and facilitate their understanding and buy-in to supplier strategy methods.
  • Lead supplier strategy analyst(s) and BI team in supporting supplier strategy requests.
  • Understand the financial impact of client SLAs and KPIs, ensuring suppliers achieve 100% compliance.
  • Introduce and execute savings initiatives based on client focus.
  • Drive change management within supplier strategy using data to communicate benefits effectively.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience analyzing staffing supplier performance.
  • Working with staffing agencies within a supplier management capacity.
  • Lead preparation for monthly and quarterly supplier management reviews.
  • Conduct supplier scorecard meetings and lead supplier summits.
  • Create basic Tableau reporting for tracking supplier performance, compliance, and operational activity.
  • Maintain job family mapping for client reporting environments.
  • Lead identification, vetting, approval, and onboarding of newly identified suppliers.
  • Lead compliance audits and discussions with suppliers.
  • Support the upkeep of Pinnacle supplier portal data, ensuring alignment with client VMS environments.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and responsiveness to suppliers, internal stakeholders, and clients.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by account leaders.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment within a highly matrixed organization.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and comprehend trends.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and experience creating reports and dashboards in Tableau or equivalent.
