Job Description: 

As a Manager in the Television Buying & Planning team, you will play a key role in negotiating best rates with vendors, planning television campaigns using BARC software, ensuring flawless execution, and identifying new opportunities. This role requires a proactive approach in bridging the gap between clients and media vendors, achieving monthly targets, and evaluating campaign performance.


Education/Job Experience Required:

  1. 3-5 years of Overall experience
  2. MBA or any Equivalent Degree



Location: Bangalore (Onsite)



Day-to-Day Work:

Campaign Planning and Strategy:

  1. Collaborate with the Account Management team to understand campaign objectives, target audience, and key messaging.
  2. Develop comprehensive television media planning aligned with overarching marketing goals, leveraging BARC data for audience insights and program selection.
  3. Conduct market research to identify optimal television media opportunities and program placements for maximum reach and impact.
  4. Determine budget allocation for different television media channels and programs.



Media Buying and Negotiation:

  1. Identify and negotiate with television media vendors to secure the best rates and placements.
  2. Utilize negotiation skills to secure advantageous media deals while adhering to budget constraints.
  3. Develop strong relationships with television media vendors to leverage future opportunities.
  4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure the best rates and add value to client campaigns.


Industry Trends & Competition tracking:

  1. Updated on industry trends and best practices in television media buying and advertising, including BARC data utilization, digital and non-FCT inventory 
  2. Monitor competitor activity and analyse their television media campaigns.



Must Have:

  1. 3-5 years of TV Buying & Planning (BARC) for audience targeting & program selection.
  2. High ownership and problem-solving drive.
  3. Working knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint.
  4. Openness to feedback and willingness to take up additional responsibilities.



Good to have:

  1. Ability to multitask effectively.
