Based in Hyderabad, with a fully integrated manufacturing unit at Tirupati and Chittoor. Amara Raja Batteries has reached a position of leadership in a very short span.


Position : Senior Manager - Taxation

Job location : Head Office - Tirupati

Qualification : CA

Experience : 10-15 Years



Knowledge:

  1. Experience in a tax department of a large multi-entity corporation is a plus
  2. Practical knowledge and working experience on Schemes/ Govt. Policies on Fiscal/other benefits that decide on Investment decision across domains in manufacturing a Must.
  3. Must be Tech savvy, using large streams of transaction data on Revenues and Tax, he must be able to effectively analyse and use it for adding value as part of COE all the time apart from ensuring timely compliance


Job Responsibilities:

• This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax function and all internal and external relationships relating to Direct & Indirect taxes

• Should be a hands-on tax professional that will lead the development and implementation of tax planning strategies, tax compliance, reporting for tax, and special projects

• Tax Planning & Structuring based on a review of the tax status, evaluation of all tax exposures and analysis of the impact of transactions

• Responsible also for creating continuous awareness of stakeholders about the amendments and pronouncement at various judiciary levels in Direct & Indirect Tax laws from time to time to enable proactive and smooth implementation of such amendments thereto for proper tax compliance.

• Manage Tax Assessments and Appeals: representation before the Revenue authorities and assistance in Appeal Proceedings and Tax Litigation

• Drive closure of all tax assessments, departmental audits, inspections, enquiry etc.

• Will be leader in tax planning to deliver competitive advantage to the company / group. Also responsible for managing compliance and litigation for the group.

• Be a highly knowledgeable leader of Taxation - Expert level of knowledge on Income Tax, GST, Excise, Service Tax and Customs Duty, DGFT matters, Domestic and International Transfer Pricing and other Regulations impacting Commercial decisions.

• Build strong relationships with business leaders and gain the trust of the senior management team by continually adding value to minimize tax liabilities and the overall success of the business.

• Advises senior leadership on new legislation including Budgets and trend impacting the company / Group including the Stakeholders like Vendors, Customers, business partners

• Annual and quarterly tax provisions including tax footnote disclosures for statutory accounting purposes.
