Basic Healthcare Services (BHS) is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of a world where marginalized and vulnerable communities lead a healthy life with dignity. The organization runs a network of AMRIT Clinics that provide high-quality and low-cost primary health care to rural and tribal communities in south Rajasthan. Six such clinics serve a population of nearly 100,000, approximately 90% of which is tribal. Primary healthcare nurses are at the core of the AMRIT Clinics and ensure 24X7 healthcare, including preventive, promotive, and curative services. Most of them are tribal women themselves, hailing from rural areas and often the first generation professionally trained woman in their family. The nurses receive in-depth training and hands on support, in an environment of dignity and nurturance, bringing about a clear transformation in their confidence and communication. Patriarchy and gender however hold a deep impact over their personal and professional lives. BHS is committed to take Nurse leadership to the next level, for which it invites applications for Lead – Leadership Development (LD).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute curricula and program for developing Leadership of workforce in primary care, especially Primary Healthcare Nurses.
- Coordinate and conduct trainings for building Leadership of nurses.
- Carry out needs assessment to map the specific needs with special emphasis on the influence of gender and patriarchy.
- Network with different stakeholders to develop content and execute the trainings.
- Document and analyze the lessons learnt.
- Represent the organization in external forums.
She/he will be a valued colleague and will work closely with the senior management to review and revise organization-wide strategy and it's implementation.
Who are we looking for?
MBA (Human resource management)/ Masters in Development studies/ Social Work/ Public Health / MSc Nursing (Community Health) with at least 3 years of experience in building, mentoring, training teams. A strong understanding of Gender is desirable and will be an asset for this position.
Location: Udaipur District, Rajasthan.
Remuneration: Based on qualifications and experience, benchmarked to similar grassroots non-profit organizations.
