Lead, Architecture - Healthcare Insurance Product Development

Job Summary: The Leader, Architecture is responsible for providing strategic architectural leadership and direction for the Healthcare Insurance product development organization. This role involves collaborating closely with Product Development, Testing, and Product Support teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. The successful candidate will lead a team of Solution, Technical, Infrastructure/Cloud, Data, and Security Architects in driving architectural excellence and innovation.


Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership: Co-Develop and execute the architecture strategy for the organization, aligning it with business goals and industry trends.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Solution, Technical, Infrastructure/Cloud, Data, and Security Architects, fostering a high-performance culture and driving professional development.
  • Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Development, Testing, and Product Support teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
  • Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Solution Architecture: Provide architectural guidance and leadership for complex product development initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned with business requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Technical Architecture: Define/Enhance and communicate the technical vision for the organization, including technology roadmaps and standards.
  • Infrastructure/Cloud Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Data Architecture: Define/Enhance the enterprise data architecture, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and governance.
  • Security Architecture: Develop/Enhance and maintain the security architecture, protecting sensitive data and systems from threats.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring the stability and resilience of the product portfolio.
  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by exploring emerging technologies and their potential application to business problems.


Qualifications:


  • Proven leadership experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare insurance industry and its regulatory landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with high performance application development, Infrastructure sizing, Software/Tools evaluation and adoption management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.


Desired Skills:


  • Experience with healthcare industry standards (e.g., HL7/FHIR).
  • Knowledge of data management and analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and governance principles.
  • Expertise in security architecture and threat modeling.
