Role Description

Position: GCP Data engineer

Company : People Tech Group

Experience: 3yrs +

Location : Hyderabad (Hitech CITY )

Work Location: Hyderabad

Mode of Work: WFO

Roles and responsibilities:


Develop and maintain data ingestion frameworks and pipelines from various data sources using GCP services.

Analyze and understand Big Data and analytical technologies on GCP and provide thought leadership to clients to assist with defining their architecture, data, analytics strategies

Experience working with recommendation engines, data pipelines, or distributed machine learning and experience with data analytics and data visualization techniques and software

Develop and implement data and semantic interoperability specifications.

Analyze existingD systems to identify appropriate data sources and drive continuous improvement.

Implement and continuously enhance automation processes for data ingestion and data transformation.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create high-level and detailed technical designs.

Qualifications;


Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services and tools like Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Composer etc

Ability to leverage GCP for data engineering tasks such as data storage, processing, and analytics

Programming skills (SQL, Python, other scripting).

Expertise in PySpark for large-scale data processing

Experience with Spark's Data Frame API for performing complex data transformations and analyses

Strong programming skills in Python, with a focus on writing scripts for efficient data processing

Experience in writing SQL scripts to handle Data manipulation / transformation

Experience with data integration tools and techniques, such as ETL and ELT Candidate should be able to integrate data from multiple sources and transform it into a format that is suitable for analysis.

Tools knowledge: Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, formal and informal)

Capability to Lead, Guide and Mentor junior members in the team

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with various stakeholders.
