Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Governance and Data Lineage Manager to oversee and implement robust data governance practices and manage data lineage initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data governance and lineage. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive the organization's data governance strategy and ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.


Experience : Min 14+Years experience with Team Management


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop team of individual contributor roles with low to moderate complexity focused on creation and maintenance of data management artifacts while also supporting various data quality efforts as well as data remediation activities.
  • Partner with a specific CIB business unit(s) providing operational stewardship for existing and future business application owners across the business.
  • Manage operational execution of activities related to all stages of the data management artifact creation and maintenance lifecycle.
  • Direct team in execution of required deliverables. As needed, utilize support tools and processes used to maintain companywide data quality, control standards and data sourcing.
  • Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers to ensure consistent approach and direction on companywide remediation efforts.
  • Work with peers and the team to understand the business application roadmap in partnership with current business and technology application owners, providing insight into potential risks, compliance implications or control gaps.
  • Engage control, business and operational risk partners when needed to ensure appropriate SME knowledge is represented; develop a wide network of business partners to know who to engage and when.
  • Serve as single point of contact for escalations on low to moderate complexity issues.
  • Provide status or metric reporting as appropriate to management or other key business partners.
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent, as needed.


Essential Qualifications:


  • Financial services or financial services management consulting experience
  • Experience working within Corporate and Investment Banking, ideally within the front office, business management, control, data management or operations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking business applications, access, functionality, processes and/or workflows.
  • Experience with one or more of the following financial services risk stripes: operational risk, technology risk, information security risk, and data management risk
  • Historical consultative and leadership skills and ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment.
  • History of building effective business partnerships with all levels of the organization
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal, written, communication and people skills. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to present summary materials in consumable manner to various levels of an organization.
  • Experience with direct as well as matrix management of diverse resources, including experience with a global delivery model.
