Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: IIT Delhi Campus

Contract Period: 3 Years (renewable based on performance and organizational needs)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
  • Preference for candidates with 15 years or more of experience in leadership positions.

Qualification: Postgraduate degree or higher, preferably in management, operations, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the operations of the Foundation.
  • Align organizational goals with the vision of IIT Delhi and external stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives to foster innovation and growth in startups and incubators.


2. Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of startups and incubation programs.
  • Ensure efficient management of facilities, resources, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize processes and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Review and monitor projects across locations and adjust execution strategies as needed to meet objectives, regulatory standards, and performance benchmarks.

 

3. Human Resource Management:

  • Design and implement HR policies and practices to attract and retain talent.
  • Lead performance evaluations, training, and development programs.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture focused on innovation and collaboration.

 

4. Policy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance as per regulatory and statutory norms, including MCA and funding program guidelines.
  • Manage private equity share transfers and other financial transactions.
  • Liaise with ministries (MEITY, DST, DBT, MSME, etc.) to navigate and comply with relevant schemes and programs.

 

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with public, private, and academic institutions.
  • Represent the Foundation in policy advocacy and implementation discussions.
  • Engage with investors, government bodies, and industry experts to further the Foundation’s mission.

  • Expertise in private equity share transfer and compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with ministry-specific schemes and regulations.
  • Strong advocacy and policy implementation skills.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and drive innovation.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proven track record of collaboration and successful outcomes in public-private-academic partnerships.
  • Ability to build networks that contribute to the Foundation’s growth and influence.
