Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a crucial role in driving the growth of the e-commerce platform by negotiating commission structures and onboarding pharmacies. This role involves identifying and securing partnerships with pharmacies, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, business development, and the pharmaceutical industry.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential pharmacy partners.
  • Develop a pipeline of prospective pharmacies that align with the company’s target market.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
  • Engage with pharmacy owners and decision-makers to present the value proposition of joining the e-commerce platform.
  • Negotiate commission structures and terms of partnership agreements.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with pharmacy partners.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new pharmacies, ensuring a smooth transition onto the platform.
  • Provide training and support to pharmacy staff on how to use the e-commerce platform effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and address any technical issues.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business development goals.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential pharmacy partners.
  • Track and report on sales metrics and performance against targets.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of negotiating deals and successfully onboarding new clients.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
