Duties & Responsibilities
Technical documentation Interns are responsible for day-to-day tasks of updating technical documentation of the product w.r.t new feature additions and new software releases. Examples of
duties and responsibilities include:
- Update/amend existing topics w.r.t new changes to software feature and functionality
- Write new topics for new workflows, features and functionality
- Create online version of technical documentation and update and maintain technical documentation website and services
- Create PDF outputs of technical documentation
- Assist in migration of technical documentation to new online SaaS tools
- Assist with search engine optimization(SEO) of technical document content
- Produce tech docs for proof reading and collaborate with engineering for reviews and comments for created content
- Track keyword rankings in technical documentation
- Assist in technical blogs content creation
- Complete other technical documentation tasks as needed

Interns can work on a wide variety of projects including content creation, SEO, web content creation, documentation migration
Technical documentation interns provide their team with needed help in developing, expanding, and maintaining technical documentation content.
Skills and Qualifications
A successful Technical Documentation Intern needs various skills and qualifications to perform the required
duties of their role. Essential skills for this position include the following:
- Current enrollment in a master’s degree program in English
- Prior internship experience a plus but not required
- Experience using Adobe Robohelp or likewise documentation content creation tools
- Excellent computer usage skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in english
- Ability to quickly learn and process information
- Organization and time management skills
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
- Solid understanding of different documentation techniques
- Familiarity with documentation tools, seo tools and online saas documentation tools
