What would you be doing?


As a Category Manager at Airblack, you will play a pivotal role in managing a wide array of product categories, with a specific emphasis on driving growth and innovation for the Bmart platform.


Working in tandem with cross-functional teams spanning marketing, merchandising, and finance, you will craft and execute strategic plans tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of Airblack's diverse customer base, thereby contributing significantly to the company's overarching objectives and market leadership.


  • Take full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement for the category, including revenue forecasting, cost management, and profitability analysis.
  • Utilize market insights and data analysis to design compelling marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive sales.
  • Lead a team of 3-5 talented individuals to execute campaign strategies, manage conversion funnels, and optimize performance metrics.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with brands and negotiate favorable terms to enhance the category assortment and drive customer acquisition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen our market position, enhance brand visibility, and drive awareness through effective campaign execution and brand launches.
  • Source new products and suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure optimal product quality and availability
  • Monitor category performance, sales metrics, and inventory levels, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product assortment and maximize profitability.
  • Analyze customer feedback, reviews, and ratings to identify areas for improvement and enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction


What makes you a suitable candidate?

We would love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications below:

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a category manager role, preferably within the beauty industry or a related consumer goods sector.
  • MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute, or equivalent advanced degree, will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in supply chain management and a proven track record of successfully scaling a category within a B2C model.
  • The ability to work in an environment that is fast-paced requires solving ambiguous problems and is highly outcome-oriented. We will look for candidates who display these characteristics and have demonstrated the ability to solve problems on the ground.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
