Assistant Manager Strategy

  1. Be part of strategic thinking process for organisational growth and assist strategy team in creating the business case/ drive projects.
  2. Conduct research in economic, behavioral, technological and industry/competitors’ trends. Analyse, interpret to identify likely impacts on the organisation. Support in taking executive decisions and driving strategic planning process.
  3. Identify opportunities and drive changes to improve implementation and evaluation of strategic and business planning processes. Steer better performance tracking and reporting of initiatives
  4. Facilitate the strategic review and planning processes with management team and delivery teams.


  1. Support strategic planning processes, including interdependencies
  2. between key business, technology and financial planning processes
  3. Highlight and incorporate external & market perspectives and insights from competitive and market intelligence in business decision making
  4. Facilitate structured reviews of the enterprise portfolio of strategic initiatives & implications (e.g., budget considerations, resource allocation, etc.)
  5. Work with internal stakeholders to incubate and develop new initiatives.
  6. Identify and chart out longer-term roadmap for the Company in
  7. line with Company's vision and shareholder priorities, for example, future listing plans.
  8. Support agenda and materials development for senior executive
  • audiences & meetings e.g., Board Meetings, Aarohan, etc.

  1. Incorporation & alignment of company initiatives with agreed business strategy
  2. Understanding of capability gap/advantage vis-a-vis competitors/
  • benchmark and actionable thereof
  1. Timely delivery of results from strategic initiatives
  2. Positive feedback from internal stakeholders responsible for
  • growth of new channels and long-term initiatives
  1. Identify new strategic initiatives based on customer insights, or
  • provide inputs on how initiatives to be modified
  1. Identify and engage relevant stakeholders in each of the
  • initiatives to solicit their inputs and influence their thinking
  1. Syndicate preliminary findings and recommendations with the
  • stakeholders; develop action plans
  1. Exceptional Collaboration and Influencing Skills
  2. Provide periodic updates to stakeholders on the progress of
  3. strategic initiatives

Communicating well-structured, data-driven, and clearly articulated points-of-view to influence and meet stakeholders ‘where they are’

  1. Clearly define problem statements and build hypothesis on solutions; often the situation will be ambiguous, take leadership in providing clarity and defining the problem
  2. Approach projects holistically, owning and driving end-to-end
  • delivery of solutions
  1. Lead execution of key enterprise initiatives by forming collaborative partnerships with colleagues across businesses and functional areas
  2. Provide feedback on required analyses to advance solution development and to support execution of strategic initiatives
  3. Define the internal/external market research and market intelligence agenda

and Board for their feedback and approval
