As we move from $8M to $50M ARR over the next couple of years, we want to ensure every number, ledger, and process is rock-solid from the early days — the kind of foundation that lets us compound for years.This is an important senior hire in our finance team, owning all things accounting end-to-end and working closely with the CEO, leadership, and our auditors. You’ll set up the systems, processes, and controls that keep our books airtight and support our growth.What you’ll doOwn and run all core accounting operations — month-end close, reconciliations, payables, receivables, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and ledger management.Ensure full adherence to statutory compliance including PF, PT, GST, TDS, ROC filings, and other regulatory requirements.Build and maintain a strong accounting control environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in financial reporting.Partner closely with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring clean handoffs between accounting and FP&A.Manage the company’s cash flow visibility by maintaining accurate books and timely reconciliations.Own financial reporting — monthly, quarterly, and annual — ensuring everything is audit-ready and compliant with accounting standards.Lead revenue accounting for a SaaS business, ensuring correct recognition, deferred revenue management, and subscription-level accuracy.Drive process automation, implement accounting best practices, and establish SOPs to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.Manage relationships with auditors, ensuring a smooth and timely statutory audit, including working with a Big 4 audit team.Support the finance function on broader initiatives like cost control, internal controls, and systems implementation (ERP, tools, workflows, etc.).What makes you a good fit4+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or audit(Big 4 experience preferred).You’ve handled or scaled accounting operations in a SaaS or tech-led company.You enjoy building things from 0–1 — processes, systems, policies, and controls.You understand revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and the nuances of subscription accounting.You’re detail-oriented, love clean books, and take pride in getting the numbers right — every time.Salary and LocationLocation: BangaloreExpected CTC: We pay top of market for the right folks and also offer generous equity (ESOP) to everyone in the teamOur Way Of Life - https://www.notion.so/bitespeed/Way-Of-Life-At-BiteSpeed-44d9b9614d9641419da910189b1e9f8e.Our PurposeAt BiteSpeed, work is personal.
