Role Overview:

The Academic Director will provide visionary leadership to our academic programs, driving excellence and innovation in design education. We are looking for a dynamic Ph.D. in Design who can shape curriculum development, guide faculty research, and foster a culture of creativity and excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance academic programs and curriculum in alignment with industry needs and design trends.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to faculty in curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and research excellence, encouraging faculty and students to push the boundaries of design knowledge and practice.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to create real-world learning experiences and internship opportunities for students.
  • Ensure academic quality and compliance with accreditation standards, integrating design ethics and principles into all aspects of academic operations.


Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Design or a related field, with a distinguished record of scholarship and research in design.
  • Proven leadership experience in academia, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in academic administration or program leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of design theory, practice, and emerging trends in design education.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate faculty and students.
  • Passion for fostering creativity, innovation, and inclusivity in design education.
