As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical inquiries regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A main point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and raised issues.


As a Sr. Support Engineer, you will be the technical interface to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and improved Resellers (VARs) for resolution of problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use of Oracle products. Have an understanding of all Oracle products in their proficiencies and in-depth knowledge of several products and/or platforms. Also, you should be highly qualified in multiple platforms and able to complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management. In this position, you will routinely act independently while researching and developing solutions to customer issues.

This position is for supporting Fusion Applications, particularly under the Supply Chain Management (Product Information Management, Distributed Order Orchestration, Logistics, and Cost Management) and the Procurement pillars (Purchasing, Self-Service Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Model, and Supplier Portal).



The individual will need to proactively engage with multiple accounts and responsible for working with them & their implementation partners and providing mentorship and support needed throughout the life cycle of project implementation to ensure successful launch and beyond. Should be able to operate independently to deliver quality work for customer engagements.

Job duties are multifaceted and sophisticated using independent judgment. May have project lead role. Proven track record with Core products or demonstrated ability with Applications products and have a technical degree or equivalent experience i.e., BS Computer Science/Management Information Systems/Science/ Engineering/Math/Physics/Chemistry with a 3.0 GPA OR (for Applications) validated professional/ technical experience.



Note: This role may need you to work on weekends and multiple shifts on rotation basis.

Candidate Background and experience

  • More than four years' implementation, support, consulting or development experience in enterprise business application.
  • Outstanding diagnostic and fix ability and skilled in using standard tools and techniques.
  • Extensive experience monitoring, tuning and/or changing sophisticated applications to optimize the product to perform to customer expectations.
  • Extensive experience with one or many aspects of EBA (Product knowledge, Log reading, Fix techniques etc).
  • Knowledge of networks, database configuration, server configuration, Web Server optimization load balancing hardware, SQL tuning and so on.
  • Ability and demeanour to assist junior members of the team in training on new products and technologies.



Technical & Analytical Skills (Required)

  • Well-developed fixing skills, ability to analyze details and synthesize "big picture", frequently working with incomplete or ambiguous data. Creative use of industry standard tools to aid in the diagnostic process.
  • Detailed Functional /technical knowledge of more than one module in any of the following Oracle Supply Chain Application Suites - Oracle EBusiness Suite; Cloud SCM/Fusion SCM
