Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement engineer with expertise in sourcing and

procuring components for solar energy systems The ideal candidate will have a strong

understanding of technical specifications related to solar panels, solar inverters, batteries, wires, and

related accessories. along with a proven track record in vendor development, negotiation, and

contract management. This role requires the ability to develop new vendor relationships, draft

contracts, and optimize procurement systems for multiple outlet operations.

Responsibilities:

Procurement of Solar System Components : Lead the procurement process for components

required for solar energy systems and electric scooters, including solar panels, solar inverters,

batteries, and electric scooter units. Source suppliers, obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing and

terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Vendor Development: Identify and develop relationships with new vendors and suppliers capable of

supplying quality components for solar systems and electric scooters. Evaluate vendor capabilities,

conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.

Technical Understanding: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the technical specifications

and requirements for solar energy systems and electric scooters. Collaborate with engineering and

product teams to ensure that procurement decisions align with product specifications and

performance standards.

Contract Drafting and Preparation: Draft and prepare procurement contracts, purchase orders, and

supplier agreements. Define terms and conditions, delivery schedules, quality standards, and

payment terms to protect the interests of the company and ensure compliance with regulatory

requirements.

Multiple Outlet Operations: Develop procurement systems and processes tailored to support

operations across multiple outlets. Coordinate with store managers and operational teams to

forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of components to meet

operational requirements.

Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate pricing, discounts, and contractual terms with

vendors to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the organization. Implement cost-saving

initiatives, vendor consolidation strategies, and volume discounts to optimize procurement

expenditure.

Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and

vendors. Monitor supplier performance, address issues or concerns promptly, and collaborate with

vendors to resolve quality, delivery, or service-related issues.

Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/ Solar Engineering /Business Administration, Supply Chain

Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on sourcing components for solar

energy systems and electric scooters.

Strong technical understanding of solar energy systems, solar inverters, batteries, and electric

scooters, including relevant specifications and standards.

Proven experience in vendor development, contract negotiation, and contract management.

Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade suppliers to achieve favorable

terms.

Proficiency in contract drafting, preparation, and management.

Experience in developing procurement systems for multiple outlet operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost management and efficiency

optimization.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across

departments and levels of the organization.
