Job Title – GM & Head Operations
Reporting – MD
Ideal Candidate: 15+ years of experience. Engineer and MBA with prior experience in managing operations of an industrial manufacturer (preferably in or related to pneumatic equipment).
About the Company: With a history of more than 22 years, Teryair Equipment Pvt Ltd is a specialist and one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of technical marine and pneumatic machinery (AODD pumps, Air Motors, Ventilation Fans, Tank Cleaning Jets etc.).

About the Role:
· The GM & Head Operations will oversee and manage the entire production, R&D, quality control, supply chain, and operational functions within our company. He / she will be responsible for ensuring smooth production processes, optimizing performance, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvement to meet our business goals
· Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
Ø Operational Leadership:
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient and timely production of high-quality products
Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, optimize resource utilization, and minimize costs
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold operational integrity
Lead, mentor, and manage production teams, supervisors, department heads and field engineers fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
Ø Production Management:
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing goals while maintaining high-quality standards
Oversee maintenance and operation of equipment, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or technical issues. Develop strategy and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
Coordinate with R&D, engineering, and product development teams to improve manufacturing processes and introduce new products
Ø Supply Chain, Inventory Management & Customer Servicing:
Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely procurement of raw materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels
Develop and execute supply chain strategies to meet production demands and minimize lead times
Implement cost-saving measures across the supply chain while ensuring high-quality standards are maintained
Ensure smooth operations of order management and after sales servicing. Address client concerns promptly and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Ø Continuous Improvement:
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies
Promote the adoption of new technologies and innovative solutions to improve operational processes and outcomes. This includes staying informed about industry trends and advancements, evaluating new tools and technologies, and integrating them into the company’s operations to maintain a competitive edge. The GM will lead efforts to drive innovation, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the pnematic engineering sector
Develop KPIs to monitor operational performance and drive improvements in output, quality, and cost control
Collaborate with senior leadership to set operational goals and develop long-term strategies for growth
Ø Budgeting & Financial Oversight:
Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial objectives
Analyse production costs and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase profitability
Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into operational performance and areas for improvement
Ø Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure operational capacity aligns with market demand
Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and customers
Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
What we offer:

· This is a full-time role located in Mumbai, with some flexibility for remote work
· Salary scale INR 40+ Lacs per annum + variable component depending on company performance
· Other perks include PF, Family insurance, Per diem allowance during travel
Candidate Location: The factory location is in Vasai. Candidates will be expected to re-locate to Vasai or Western Suburbs of Mumbai as needed.
What we are looking for:
· B.Tech / B.E. in Production / Industrial, Instrumentation, Mechanical. Master’s / MBA preferred in Operations Management or a related field
· 15+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in or related to pneumatic equipment industry is preferred
· Proven track record in managing end-to-end production processes, including supply chain, procurement, and quality control
· Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
· Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational forecasting
· Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
· Ability to drive performance through strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on management
· Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
· Proven ability to lead large teams and inspire a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
· Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one other language
