About Defy Aerospace:
Defy Aerospace is a leader in the drone technology industry, offering state-of-the-art training programs for aspiring drone pilots. Our mission is to empower the next generation of UAV operators through comprehensive and innovative training solutions. We are looking for a strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth through partnerships within our Training Division.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager with a focus on Partnerships to expand our Training Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational partnerships, an understanding of the aerospace training landscape, and the ability to forge alliances that enhance our training offerings and extend our market reach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a partnership strategy specifically for Defy Aerospace’s Training Division.
- Identify and prioritize potential partners including educational institutions, government agencies, and corporate clients.
2. Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in educational institutions, aviation academies, and other relevant sectors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partnership-related activities within the Training Division.
3. Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive landscape in drone pilot training.
- Analyze and monitor developments in the training and education sectors to keep Defy Aerospace at the cutting edge.
4. Negotiation & Deal Closure:
- Lead negotiations with educational institutions, training providers, and corporate partners to secure collaborative agreements.
- Draft, review, and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring they align with Defy Aerospace’s Training Division objectives.
5. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the Training, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.
- Align partnership activities with the overall strategic goals of Defy Aerospace’s Training Division.
6. Performance Tracking:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the success of training-related partnerships.
- Regularly report on partnership performance, offering insights and recommendations for enhancing effectiveness.
7. Brand Advocacy:
- Represent Defy Aerospace’s Training Division at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
- Advocate for Defy Aerospace’s training programs and vision to potential partners and the wider market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances within the education or training sectors, preferably in aviation or technology.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and closing high-value partnerships in the education or training industry.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
