Job Purpose:
To drive the growth and profitability of the company's Whole Spice export business by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies to develop different countries for export opportunity, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development: Identify and target new international markets for whole spice exports.
- Client Acquisition: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the international food industry, including importers, distributors, and retailers.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Business Development: Negotiate deals, close sales, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations, quality control, and timely deliveries.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek new business opportunities.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of sales and export professionals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Functional Skills:Deep understanding of the global spice market, including trends, regulations, and customer preferences.
- Proven track record in international sales and business development.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in export documentation and customs procedures.
- Expertise in quality control and food safety standards.
- Leadership Skills:Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in business administration, international business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the spice industry, with a strong focus on international sales.
Desired Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of various spices, their properties, and applications.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
- Fluency in English and other relevant foreign languages.
