Role Introduction:

We are searching for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic Financial Shared Services team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in supporting the implementation and ongoing success of various financial shared services projects. You will leverage your accounting expertise and analytical skills to ensure accurate financial data, efficient processes, and successful project execution.


What will you DO:

  • Partner with project managers and business stakeholders to understand financial requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the shared services environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting procedures for new or revised financial shared services processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions within the shared services system.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of new financial shared services systems and processes.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis to support project progress and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, operations) to ensure smooth integration of financial processes with shared services systems.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Identify and document potential risks and mitigation strategies related to financial shared services projects.


What will you Have:

  • CA Qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a shared services environment.
  • Proven experience with general accounting principles (GAAP) and strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) a plus.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with financial shared services implementations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Certified Chartered Accountant or Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards certification.
