Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at KnowVisory Global. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and handle accounting responsibilities for our US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively. The senior accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial analysis, preparing financial statements, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements per US GAAP for multiple clients.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Accounting: Create and verify invoices; post payments on open invoices in QB, post and park journal entries, reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
- Month-end Close: Manage month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review.
- Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for US-based clients, providing financial guidance and addressing any accounting-related inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency for both the clients and the accounting team.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other accounting team members to share knowledge, support each other, and ensure consistency in accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with US-based clients.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Certifications such as CA, CPA or CMA are preferred.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as Netsuite is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, focusing on US GAAP.
- Should be an Immediate Joiner.
- Must have experience in the Hotel Industry.
