Job Description: SDE - Backend Development (Python)
Location: Bengaluru (WFO)

About the Position:
As an SDE in the Backend Development team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems to support our core operations and provide a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Design RESTful APIs to integrate with mobile and web applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, optimize performance bottlenecks, and implement robust logging and monitoring practices.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile development teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on automation.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years in backend development using Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with asynchronous programming.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Proficiency in deploying applications using Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcached.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Unittest).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Bonus:
- Experience with frontend development or mobile backend integration.
- Knowledge of graph databases or other specialized database technologies.
- Prior experience in a startup environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
