Position Summary:
The company is looking for a skilled Backend Developer who will be
responsible for developing backend infrastructure for their company. You’ll be
part of a cross-functional team and responsible for backend development of
the ecosystem which has over 50,000 monthly users.
You will be responsible for their entire ecosystem. As a Direct-to-Consumer
brand, their backend is a very important touchpoint for customers.
This role is for someone who thoroughly enjoys building backend
infrastructure for stability, performance, uptime and scale.
You're awesome at:
Making cool backends taking into consideration performance and stability.
Understand the business requirements and come up with a scalable solution.
Enjoying the challenge of leading complex technical projects and delivering
iterative solutions that provide value each step of the way.
Desired skill sets:
4-7 years of relevant working experience.
Exceptional problem solving and DSA skills
description 1 Previous experience working in the technical industry and building large scale
backends.
Highly proficient in Python/Java. Must also be greatly proficient in at least one
of the backend frameworks (like Django, Flask etc).
Familiarity with Database technologies like Sql and No Sql.
Working knowledge with different database solutions Postgresql, Mongo DB,
Redis etc.
Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS is beneficial.
Be consumer-oriented, be a team-builder and team player, have an ability to
work in a fast paced and highly collaborative position, be highly organized and
have an ability to multitask and meet tight - deadlines.
You'll be responsible for:
Design of the overall architecture of the backend and evolving it to ensure
maximum performance, stability and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend and mobile application developers to improve
usability.
Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
Constantly evaluates emerging technologies and avails strategic, innovative,
and cost-effective solutions that increase the efficiency, reliability, and
integration of the business’s sites/software.
Working in a semi-autonomous environment with prototyping technologies in
order to resolve emerging site/software issues promptly, reporting directly to
the Head of Engineering.
Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS is beneficial.
Making sure that the whole system is secure and no data is lost.
Academic qualifications:
Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science or allied fields.
