Functional Expertise:

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Lead the strategy, development, and delivery of lending products, focusing on consumer, SME, and business loan offerings.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and customer needs in the lending space.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and enhancements that align with business goals.


2. End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management

• Oversee the full lifecycle of lending products, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimization.

• Manage product backlogs, define product requirements, and work closely with development, design, and QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery.


3. Lending Systems Integration & Compliance

• Ensure seamless integration with third-party fintech platforms, payment systems, and other service providers to enhance the lending process.

• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure products adhere to local regulations, including

KYC/AML requirements, data protection laws, and risk management frameworks.

• Collaborate with risk and fraud teams to identify and mitigate potential lending risks.


4. Risk Management & Reconciliation

• Collaborate with risk management teams to design and implement strategies that mitigate default risks,

fraud, and operational inefficiencies.

• Oversee the development of reconciliation tools and ensure the accuracy of lending transactions,

repayments, and loan accounting.

• Ensure products comply with regulatory and risk management frameworks for loan servicing, collections, and payment processing.


5. Performance Analysis & Reporting

• Track key product performance metrics, including loan disbursements, defaults, collections, customer engagement, and profitability.

• Prepare and present regular reports and updates to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.


Interaction:

● Collaborate with engineering, design, and data analytics teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch new lending products and features tailored to the Indian market.

● Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including fintech platforms like LSP to facilitate integration opportunities to drive business growth.

● Ensure that all lending products and features comply with regulatory requirements imposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other relevant authorities, collaborating closely with legal and compliance teams to navigate regulatory complexities effectively.

● Display customer centric mindset.

● Can understand customer problems and develop innovative solutions.

● Monitor key performance metrics specific to product performance data and derive actionable insights to continuously improve product performance.

● Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.


To succeed in the role

Qualification & Experience (type & industry)

● BE/ B. Tech or equivalent degree; MBA will be a plus.

● 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the fintech industry

with a focus on lending products in the Indian market

● Experience in working with LMS, LOS, KYC process, risk BRE and payment tools such

as eNACH and PGs.

● Experience in Fintechs/NBFCs/Banks (Digital banking verticals)


Skills & know-how

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

● Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritize initiatives, and drive results in a

fast-paced, dynamic environment.

● Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working with

product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
