Position Overview:


The Lead Development Representative is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-quality enterprise leads for AVEVA's PI data management and analytics platform. As the first point of contact for potential customers, you will leverage your research, communication, and qualification skills to build a robust pipeline of opportunities for the sales team. Your success in this role will directly contribute to the growth and adoption of AVEVA PI in the industrial automation, chemicals & pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct market research to identify target accounts and decision-makers that align with AVEVA PI's ideal customer profile
  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, phone, social media, and other channels to engage with potential leads
  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria such as budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT) to determine sales-readiness
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand the lead's challenges, requirements, and pain points and assess fit for AVEVA PI
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted content and messaging to nurture leads and progress them through the funnel
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead activities and interactions in the CRM system
  • Provide regular reports on lead generation and qualification metrics, trends, and insights
  • Continuously learn about AVEVA PI's features, benefits, and competitive landscape to effectively position the solution

Qualifications:


  • 2-3 years of experience in a lead generation, inside sales, or business development role, preferably in the enterprise software or industrial automation space
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven success in enterprise SaaS sales, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong research and prospecting skills to identify and engage with target accounts and decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with potential customers
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, and other lead-generation tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with AVEVA PI or similar industrial data management and analytics solutions is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
