This role involves managing incident resolution, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize system downtime and enhance performance.

·Job Title: Senior Manager – Production Support

Location: Kharadi, Pune (Monday to Friday, 2pm to 11pm)

Department: IT/Operations

Reports To: Director of IT Operations

Job Type: Full-Time


Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production support analysts and engineers.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

· Incident Management:

  • Oversee the identification, logging, and resolution of production incidents.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders during incidents.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.

· Problem Management:

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and major outages.
  • Implement long-term solutions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
  • Maintain documentation of problems, root causes, and solutions.

· Process Improvement:

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for production support activities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement tools to streamline support processes.
  • Continuously review and improve support workflows and practices.

· Stakeholder Communication:

  • Provide regular updates and reports on system health, incidents, and support metrics to senior management.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and other IT teams to ensure smooth transitions from development to production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in production support or a related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, networking, and cloud services.
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in using monitoring tools and IT service management (ITSM) software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.
