The Oracle Apps Database Administrator will have primary responsibility for the operation of Oracle Business Suite 12.1.x , 12,2.x and Oracle Databases 11g,12c,19c including OBIA Support . This role and the responsibilities of this role are critical, comprehensive, and include, but are not limited to, database server installations, Oracle Apps and Middleware technology products installations and management, schema updates, data migrations, tech upgrades, patches, user maintenance, troubleshooting, , performance tuning, table space management etc.. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of effective communication, technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel to provide very responsive support.


ROLE:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with team members located in multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision seeking direction as required.
  • Responsible for providing day-to-day administration support and maintenance for Oracle EBS and databases.
  • Troubleshoot and tune Oracle E-Business and OBIA. Contribute to technical performance analysis and enhancement
  • Installation / upgrades (for database and EBS, etc.)
  • Cloning / backup / restore
  • Monitoring / trouble shooting / performance tuning
  • Monitoring setup using Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM)
  • Utilize Change Management controls to implement Code changes in Production and non-Production instances.
  • Utilize core database skills to maintain key processes like archiving, monitoring, integrity and security.
  • Member of 24*7 Support team.
  • Work with multiple application teams and developers.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough knowledge of ORACLE APPS and Database administration tasks (patching, concurrent Managers, users and responsibilities, code promotion, index rebuilding, configuration etc.)
  • Oracle GRC Experience
  • Database Performance Tuning
  • Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning skills
  • Proficient with the Unix operating system, specifically Solaris and AIX
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages, Bash, ksh, perl etc.


Experience:

  • 10 + years as Oracle Apps DBA
