Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Email & Marketing Automation Strategist to spearhead further redefinition, development and implementation of Email and Marketing automation for all our vidaXL webshops. This pivotal role involves accelerating current strategy, objectives and roadmap/initiatives to take this Product to a the ambitiously set goals. Asides, you will continuously seek for opportunities in how team can optimize and improve existing emails and journeys and same goes for (new) features available on the platform(s) used. As ideal candidate, you bring along a proven track record (authority/evangelist) in email and marketing automation strategy and execution within eCommerce and a deep understanding of how to send customers the right message at the right time throughout their shopping journey. To achieve this, you will work closely with Product Manager, Product Owner and our Lead Email Marketeer.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and objectives:
- Evaluate current strategy from both a commercial and operational/platform and make sure it meets the growth expectations
- Define clear objectives, KPIs, and success metrics, ensuring their measurement and reporting to track progress and outcomes effectively.
Roadmap, initiatives and resources:
- Review current roadmap in terms of priority, impact plus scope and fit with renewed Strategy, objectives and KPis.
- Take lead in further extending our roadmap with initiatives and projects to ensure we reach ambitious goals and targets sets.
- Take lead in creating business cases to get approval and budget for those initiatives
- Ensure required tech stack and DEV resources to achieve previous are estimated, clear and included in business cases
- Keep up to date with market and platform development and innovation to further accelerate and seek for opportunities to reach above
Continuous improvements and optimizations:
- Continuously seek, with Lead Email Marketeer, for ways to optimize our emails Open Rate and Click Rate (e.g. AB-testing title and content)
- From experience and available data&insights, , with Lead Email Marketeer, further extend and improve journeys of our emails
- Take lead in making sure Product Teams gets the most out of used tech stack ito platform-features and IP reputation.
Collaboration and Implementation:
- Work closely with Product Team to get roadmap delivered within expected time and with expected quality
- Work closely with Email Marketeer team to continuous deliver new and improve exisiting emails and journeys
- Collaborate with different journey stakeholders from other teams to ensure set-up emails and journeys contribute to their goals
- Collaborate with Performance team, Data team and Webshop team to further extend automation and personalization throughout the whole customer journey.
Reporting:
- Responsible for and reports to stakeholders on commercial KPIs of all emails and journeys.
- Responsible with Lead Email Marketeer for and reports to stakeholders on email KPIs of all emails and journeys.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage and manage relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for email and marketing automation
- Engage and manage relationships with external stakeholders like used platforms (Salesforce) and main point of contact for external (strategic) consulting agency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent job experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, or related roles within an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful Email and marketing Automation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Creative thinker with a passion for customer (re)engagement and email marketing.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Email & Marketing Automation software; preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud, braze, epsilon, dot digital, Oracle marketing cloud, adobe marketing cloud, Emarsys, Zeta Global.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms.
