The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, supporting employees, and maintaining efficient workflows.
Responsibilities
- New User Onboarding: Set up and configure new computers (Windows and Linux) for incoming employees, ensuring seamless integration into our network.
- Assist new team members with initial software installations and system access.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Diagnose and fix internet connectivity problems, maintaining consistent and reliable internet access across the entire site.
- Address user queries and provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person assistance.
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including network health, server performance, and system security. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and asset tracking.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure necessary IT equipment and software licenses.
- Documentation & Organization: Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets (hardware, software licenses) for optimal tracking and management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems is preferred.
- Networking knowledge is a must
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse user groups.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and prioritize workload.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
