As an Sr RFP Writer, you play a crucial role in crafting compelling proposals that win business opportunities. You collaborate closely with Sales partners, leveraging a variety of resources to create high-quality responses that align with our organization’s goals. Here are the primary responsibilities and qualifications:


Primary Accountabilities:

Collaboration and Proposal Production:

  • Work closely with Sales partners to produce comprehensive proposals.
  • Gather information from various sources, including the RFP content management system, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and colleagues across the organization.
  • Manage project requirements, ensuring timely communication, internal strategy meetings, and effective outsourcing of questions.
  • Format documents and oversee project milestones.
  • Ensure that proposal output adheres to all required standards and aligns with business objectives.
  • Coordinate final document preparation and distribution, meeting timelines.

Multitasking and Problem-Solving:

  • Prioritize tasks effectively, using sound judgment and established procedures.
  • Resolve straightforward situations efficiently.

Effective Communication:

  • Clearly articulate challenges through verbal and written communication.
  • Proactively communicate progress, challenges and manage expectations.
  • Build consensus with business partners by collaborating across the organization to deliver consistent messaging in the marketplace.

Content Library Maintenance:

  • Assist in maintaining the internal content library.
  • Create new Q&A pairings.
  • Update internal tracking systems for real-time reporting.
  • Contribute to special projects.

Project Complexity Support:

  • Handle a range of project complexities, starting from average and complex proposals.

Accuracy Review:

  • Review proposals meticulously to ensure data accuracy.


Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 5-7 years of prior experience of writing Requests for Proposal is desirable, preferably in the financial services industry.

Education: BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related discipline.

Software Proficiency:

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Qvidian (or similar proposal management tools)

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
