Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Sales & Marketing Engineer role located in our Chennai office. The Sales & Marketing Engineer will be responsible for

  • Customer Portfolio management
  • Planning and achieving sales targets for assigned customers.
  • Regular Customer visits and follow ups ensuring optimum active selling time
  • Periodic Sales review and devising action for deviations.
  • Gathering and reporting all market / competitor information.
  • Coordinating internally and externally to ensure continuous availability of materials.
  • Visiting potentials and promote existing or new products and applications.
  • Visiting existing customers and promote new products.
  • Work towards spec-in with Architects & Consultants wherever possible.
  • Generating a strong project pipeline for additional sales.
  • Follow up for collections of payments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & AC or related field
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and engineering services
  • Analytical Skills and Market Research
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Sales and Marketing experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • MBA in Sales & Marketing will be added advantage.

Relevant Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of HVAC or MEP related industrial sales experience. Techno-commercial profile (Sales Experience with Technical support & Business Development experience would helpful).

Major Challenges

  • Competitive pricing. (Qualitative selling, realign product assortments)
  • Short comings in Delivery commitments. (forewarn customers, work on options, expedite internal processes)
  • Meeting demand surges. (Better market intelligence, better forecasting, better follow ups till delivery)
  • Information gathering (collect information from available resources)
  • Cold Calling (Proper planning and preparation)
