QA & Testing Engineer

Testing Engineer understands the customer requirement and ensures product is inspected, tested, and supplied as per the technical requirement. Product third party inspection is planned and competed as per the approved documents. Keep Quality leader updated on the daily ongoing QA & Testing activities/challenges and works towards achieving functional metrics. Engage with the team on problem solving for the issues observed during the process and its resolution. Take part in improvement & development projects.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing:

Coordination with internal and external stakeholders / TPI and ensure for timely completion of product (Centrifugal Pumps) testing as per QAP / order requirements and its documentation. Testing and reports for FAI (First article) and NPD (New product development) pumps. Coordinate for the calibration of Quality and Testing measuring instruments and maintain its records. Preparation of QAP, Monthly testing plan / calendar. Keep instruments and equipment used are in working and well-maintained condition.

Meetings & Reporting:

Conduct daily Quality cell level meeting / MDI meeting and keep data updated on board. Engage in EHS, Quality and CI suggestions, and its closure process. Quality audits – Internal and External Attend PTE meetings. CAPEX / New development Ensure for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as assigned. Inspection and testing documents and its submission as per requirement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and understand:

> Engineering drawing, GAD and QAP

> SPX sales order (SO) details

> SPX purchase order (PO) details

> Technical standards

> Material test certificates, NDT reports

> Effective communication / emails.

> MS Office and Power point Presentations

> SAP for the assigned transactions

Problem solving tool – Root cause analysis through Five Why, LSS YB/GB certified •

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree – Mechanical Min 4-5 years of experience in Quality and Testing function of Rotary equipment (Pumps, Compressors, etc ) Experience of Pump Industries and hands on experience in pump testing is first preference. Experience in third party inspection agency is also preferable. SAP
