Job Purpose:

As a member of the planning team at the head office, you will be responsible to drive the demand and supply planning synchronization for the assigned categories. The position has to co-ordinate with the category demand planners & the different CP facilities (like toothpaste plants, SNP warehouses & hubs, Contract Manufacturers) to make sure stocks reach end warehouses on time in full. Possess strong technical understanding of APO SNP module to drive global SDP initiative.

 

Job Context :

Understand the commercial grid & its execution process. In an environment influenced by external & internal factors, the incumbent will have to foresee any likely challenges to meet the demand & communicate timely to the commercial team.

Since the whole network is operated on SAP-APO-SNP module, the incumbent should be pro-active in leading all the relevant master data to ensure timely supply. The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure intended case fill for the network, truck loadability & system driven replenishment.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Demand Planning

  • Working with the sales / marketing team to improve upon the demand plan

  • Notify short-supply situation

 

Commercial Team Meeting

  • Update the team on issues / concerns in timely manner to avoid business impact on connectivity

 

Supply Planning

  • Supplying as per end warehouse requirement in the domestic network

  • Raise alert in case of potential short-supply situation

 

Stock Planning

  • Coverage planning by branch / warehouse

  • Prioritisation & coordination with Demand planners & BLMs

 

SNP Master Data

Maintain all existing SNP master data – location / product / lanes / means of transport / calendar etc.

 

Heuristic, Deployment & TLB run output validation

  • Check all the daily jobs have been run as per schedule

  • Scan alerts, if any

  • Auto vs Interactive TLB run to ensure accurate load formation

 

New initiatives

  • Work on global initiatives to align with SDP requirement

  • Finding opportunities in distribution for an agile & cost-efficient replenishment model

 

Experience:

2+ years experience in Supply /demand planning in an FMCG / Retail / E-com sector organization
