JobTitle: Sr. Manager / Manager Contracts (Malepreferred)Location:Mumbai /NagpurQualification:B.E. / B.Tech Graduates preferred with exposure tothe legal side. Certification in Contract Management (e.g. CPCMCFCM) is a plus.Experience:At least 7years of relevant experience in ContractsManagement.IndustryPreference: Preferred experience in InfrastructureConstruction Iron and Steel Engineering EPC Oil and gasPetrochemicals andRefineriesSalary:Rs. 15 18 per annum
RoleandResponsibilities:TheSenior Manager/Manager Contracts plays a critical role inoverseeing the organizations contract management processes toensure compliance mitigate risks and optimize vendor relationships.This role encompasses strategic planning negotiation and legalcompliance to support the organizations contractual obligations andprotect itsinterests.
  • StudyContract and prepare RiskMitigation analysis and document thesame.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance workinghand in hand with other departments.
  • Compliancewith contractual requirements and attributes to understandbusiness.
  • Making Correspondence with clients /Subcontractors to fulfill contractualobligations.
  • Drafting contractualcorrespondences protecting the contractual interest of theorganization and representing the Company as perrequirements.
  • Review and reply to variousimportant correspondences/communications in keeping with Contractconditions.
  • Preparation of contracts agreementsamendments and change orders as perrequirements.
  • Ensure all notices and the likeare prepared and forwarded to the Client/subcontractor as specifiedin the contract.
  • Identification preparation andsubmission of various Claims and variations includingsubstantiation and defendingcounterclaims.
  • Ensure all subcontractor claimsextensions of time and variations are checked and proper advicegiven.
  • Maintain contractual records such asreceipt and control of all contractual correspondences customercontact information sheet etc.
  • Exposure toArbitration / ADR mechanism desirable.
  • Devisingand implementing a documentation system including maintenance andensuring traceability.
  • Understanding differenttypes and different versions ofcontracts.
  • Making Contract AppreciationDocuments (CAD)
  • Mitigating Risk and managingSubcontracts (precontract Stage)
  • Precontractingexposure including supporting the procurement team in formulatingstandard templates for GCC/SCC etc in line with company practicesprotecting the interest of the organization and mitigatingrisks.
  • Ensuring the process flow and fairpractices including for ContractsAudits.
  • Standardisation ofContracts
  • Understanding procurement strategiesand negotiations is an added advantage.
  • Toclosely work with technical operations and legal teams as aninterphase.

CandidateQualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree Engineering Graduates preferred with exposure to the legalside.
  • Proven experience in contract managementwith at least 7 years in ContractManagement.
  • Has good job stability in the worktenure at least 2 years in the currentorganizations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legaland regulatory requirements related to contractmanagement.
  • Certification in ContractManagement (e.g. CPCM CFCM) is aplus.
  • Experience working in a regulatedindustry (e.g. healthcare finance) isadvantageous.
