About the Role:

To Lead and manage the company’s exposure towards all kinds of direct taxes, transfer pricing, indirect taxes and operations and to deliver the best in class governance on all tax matters including actively contributing and closure of open tax litigations. The position is required to manage the application of insurance policies to safeguard Company assets and manage the litigation proceedings relevant to the accidents/damages to minimize the risk exposures.

Main Responsibilities:

GENERAL & Overall

Tax

  • Ensure timely preparation and accurate filing withholding taxes, corporate tax tax returns
  • Responsible to legally minimize tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates and reports accruals and purpose 
  • To manage and accurately prepare/report all Related Party Disclosures
  • Manage tax compliance, reporting, and filing works for the Group. Identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Act as the key point of contact and support for our local and regional taxation matters
  • Prepare current and deferred tax provision
  • Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters to the Group
  • Manage tax provisions and tax compliance process end-to-end in order to optimize the consultancy cost
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger
  • Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests relating to ongoing litigations/assessments
  • Visiting to the tax departments for closure of tax matters pending on account of procedural aspects

Insurance

  • manage the maintenance, development, performance, governance, administration and delivery of the insurance provision for the organisation to produce an efficient service and delivery solution, maximising efficiency, performance and best value against pre-agreed targets
  • Day to day responsibilities agreed with your manager to include:
  • manage, direct and monitor insurance activities and the overall performance of the team to increase efficiency and maximise performance
  • general administration of all insurance provisions including claims, premium payment in timely manner, etc.
  • effective liaison, support and assistance with the whole of the organisation
  • maintain and improve mechanisms for the provision of insurance, including surveying and measuring governance, performance, administration and outcomes and disseminate feedback to the appropriate persons/entities
  • utilise systems to manage insurance functions, analysis and documentation
  • direct the development of plans for insurance, including management to achieve targets
  • developing plans for insurance progress
  • support to all other departments with insurance related issues
  • manage and maintain contact with internal and external clients/customers and suppliers
  • maintain updated insurance tracker
  • responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls
  • adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
  • interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and customers
  • Interact with insurance brokers on regular basis
  • Keeping updated with IRDAI regulations and examining the impact on Company’s operations
  • Responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager
  • Apply the Group Insurance Policy
     
Who we are looking for:
  • Degree in Accountancy, with MBA/ICWA/CIMA qualification
  • Min 4 - 7 years’ tax experience in public accounting firm or Multi National Company handling corporate and all form of Direct taxes including Transfer Pricing. Indirect Tax experience will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of International taxation laws and regulations 
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle tax compliances independently
  • Ability to handle the Insurance work
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
  • Strong analytical, people management & leadership  skills.
  • Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
  • Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision and meeting the deadlines
