About the Role
:In this Opportunity as a Sr. Systems Engineer, You will:
As a Sr. Systems Engineer you will provide application support for the delivery, support, and maintenance of production applications for HighQ applications under LTIO scope. This includes mitigating customer impact of issues, taking action to resolve issues, and determining root cause to prevent future problems. This role also helps drive initiatives for reducing incident rates and provides input to the planning and direction for setting application standards. This position requires working hours outside standard business hours as needed and requires being part of an on-call rotation. Monitor various application/systems level alert from different tools and take appropriate actions. Triage with L2 team for issue resolution Analyzes customer problems of high complexity, assesses scope of impact, identifies options for problem resolution and takes action to resolve issues according to defined service levels. Provides a high level of technical and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies and serves as a point of escalation for technical issues related to specialty.About You:
You're fit for the role of Sr. Systems Engineer if your background includes:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. 5+ years application support and/or development experience Experience on Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML required. Proven experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems. Well versed in writing shell scripts to accomplish various tasks such as extracting data or creating structured reports from server log files. Windows Server 2016, PowerShell Apache Tomcat; configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, MS SQL Server 2016; understanding of SQL queries, maintenance plans, alerting. Exposure and working knowledge of networking concepts. Ability to analyse application and server logs, error interpretation. Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server). Experience with Apache web server and other open-source software preferred. Has experience in server performance monitoring and server configuration tweaking using tools. Experience in performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and monitoring tools like SiteScope, Datadog etc.Mandatory Soft skills:
Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working in a global organization with multiple locations. High level of commitment to customer service and performance. Effective time management/prioritization of tasks. Proactive team player. Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies.
