Manager, QA Engineering

About the Role

As a Manager, QA Engineering , you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance processes and standards across the organization. The QA Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems across all operational areas. The QA Manager leads efforts to continuously improve product or service quality, minimize defects, and optimize processes. They serve as the primary advocate for quality within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to high standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive quality initiatives and contribute to the overall success and reputation of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement quality assurance strategies aligned with organizational goals.Create and maintain quality management systems and proceduresSet quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) Team Management:Lead, mentor, and supervise the QA teamAssign tasks and responsibilities to team membersConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback Quality Control:Oversee testing and inspection processesAnalyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvementImplement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and enhance quality assurance processesCollaborate with other departments to improve overall product or service qualityStay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concernsCommunicate quality standards and expectations to all relevant partiesHandle customer complaints and feedback related to quality issues Training and Development:Develop and conduct quality-related training programs for employeesPromote a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Manager, QA Engineering if your background includes:

Minimum of 10+ years working in quality assurance or quality control Experience in developing and implementing quality management systems Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and best practices At least 4+ years in a supervisory or management role within QA Experience leading and mentoring QA teams Track record of successful project management in quality-related initiatives Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues Experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality metrics and data Understanding of customer satisfaction metrics and improvement strategies Skill in preparing and presenting quality reports to management Track record of fostering a quality-focused culture within an organization Demonstrated a history of driving continuous improvement in quality processes Experience in staying current with evolving quality standards and technologies
