Primary Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain batch or real-time data pipelinesDevelop ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to help extract and manipulate data from multiple sourcesDesign and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data retrieval and manipulationBuild, maintain, and deploy data pipeline for seamless data requirement on cloud platformConduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL and SSIS processesCollaborate with SMEs and BSAs to gather requirements and understand data integration needsPerform data analysis and develop data models to ensure data integrity and accuracyOptimize SQL queries and database performance to achieve maximum efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve database and data integration issuesMonitor and maintain data quality and data governance standardsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developersStay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in SQL development and data integrationComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience7+ years of experience as a Microsoft T-SQL/SSIS Developer or similar roleExtensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSISExperience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data migrationSolid proficiency in SQL programming, including complex query development, stored procedures, and performance optimizationSolid proficiency in object-oriented languages: C#, Python, ScalaSolid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and data integrationGood understanding of big data distributed processing tools Databricks, Kafka, AirflowProven good Team player, change or innovation agents and self-starter on different techsProven ready to take up any technical challenges and should be research orientedAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
