What were lookingforLending CreditStrategy and Operations team is looking for a Sr. UnderwritingManager to join and manage the credit underwriting operations ofthe consumer loans portfolio. The successful candidate will be athought leader who can help build a best in class underwritingprogram. In this role the candidate will drive credit policychanges and procedures related to underwriting operations as wellas manage a team of credit analysts responsible for manuallyreviewing and making credit decisions based on the customer sfinancials and credit worthiness. The ideal candidate shouldpossess strong people and credit management skills directly supportcontinuous improvement initiatives be highly analytical resourcefulCustomerfocused and team oriented with outstanding communicationskills and the ability to build strong relationships with keystakeholders. This is a management role directly managing a team ofCredit Analysts; demonstrated success managing a team is amust.Key jobresponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of this role include but are notlimitedto:
  • Managedaytoday operations for the Credit Operations team which includesdirect management of Credit Analysts responsible for dailyprocesses
  • Coach andmentor Credit Analysts on policy procedures and functionalinitiatives and scale underwriting operationsteam
  • Assist indefining policies and product features to support automated andmanual credit decisioning andmonitoring
  • Establishconstantly improve and be a thought leader for a creditadjudication and performance monitoringplatform
  • Developprocesses mechanisms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) togrow efficiently and in a scalableway
  • Review complexcredit decisions that require manual reviews orexceptions
  • Identifymonitor and communicate the right metrics to measure processquality decision quality and teamproductivity
  • Participatein program operations partner with product managers and contributeto teamwide improvementgoals
  • Ownrelationships with Sales and Business operations to ensure balancebetween customer needs and prudent riskmanagement
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstratedexperience of consumer loans underwriting using financialstatements bank statements or creditinformation
  • Experiencein managing implementing and executing an operations andunderwriting program for a large complex nationalportfolio
  • Interpersonalskills including written and oral communication skills necessary tobuild relationships and positively influence decisionmaking.
  • Experiencemanaging and developing a globalteam
  • Experiencemanaging complex projects with multiple stakeholders includingsales
  • Analytical andproblemsolving skills including the ability to recognize nonobviouspatterns
  • Highattention to detail and desire to roll up sleeves and solveproblems at rootcause
  • Effective timemanagement prioritization and organizationalskills
  • Growthpotential to develop as a seniorexecutive
  • Bachelor sdegree or equivalent isrequired
  • Experience infinance or banking
