Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager-MEP in day-to-day MEP activities at the site.
  • Be responsible for the overall costs, quality, technicalities and timelines of project delivery
  • Represent Exotic in front of the consultant/Architect/PMC with the utmost professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain good relationships with all relevant stakeholders like internal projects team, sub- contractors, PMCs etc
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the project data such as vendor cost, project cost, client cost, material cost etc
  • Conduct meetings at the office along with the sub-contractors and the internal projects team to understand expectations and chart the workflow
  • Reviews all GFC drawings, BOQ and technical submittal received from the consultant/Architect/PMC to check if it is as per initial Tender document
  • Prepare a budget variation statement if changes from the tender
  • Prepare Long Lead Item trackers, Project schedule tracker, variation of budget from the tender
  • During project execution, if there are Non-Tender Items, document the NT and additional materials and send it to the Exotic Tendering/Billing team for their review.
  • Prepare updated budget variation statement if any changes arise, due to design change or escalation due to client
  • Generate quality inspection reports at 40% and 90% completion of project
  • Conduct weekly meetings at site with the sub-contractors and internal projects team and prepare the Minutes of the Meeting
  • Coordinate with the consultant/Architect/PMC periodically to ensure customer satisfaction at all stages of the project.
  • Prepare the final bills, measurement certifications, post project costing of the subcontractors 
  • Prepare bills as per billing schedule and send them to the internal Billing team for coordination of final payment
  • Responsible for the effective functioning of the MEP Engineer at site
  • If there are variations in design, cost, execution, escalate it to the AGM/GM-MEP immediately
  • Track all such variations and report on a case-to-case basis
  • Review and sign off all the handing over documents such as As-build drawings, test certificates, warranty certificates and Operation & Maintenance Manuals and send it to the internal HOD department
  • Responsible for completing all snags occurring post project and to ensure closure of the same
  • Responsible to maintain trackers for all office assets such as laptops, printers, AC’s etc and ensure that it is brought back to office post completion of the project.
  • Ensure that all samples are returned to the vendors/subcontractors post completion of projects.

RequirementsQualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering with MEP Experience
  • Min 5 years’ experience in managing MEP projects
  • Able to work in an automated ERP environment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing
  • Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade
  • Must know construction procedures and practices
  • Computer literate-Able to work with MS office
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented, excellent prioritisation and organization skills
  • Good at time management
  • Assertive, resourceful, good at people
