JD for Test Engineer:About the Role: In this role youwill be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applicationsand designing test
cases to validate functional flow andperformance. You are expected to interact with different
stakeholders and work with cross technical/functional areasincluding test case design system testing
capturingdefects follow up on defect fixes with development team and supportusers in acceptance
testing. JobResponsibilities: Review and understand thebusiness processes system development functional specification andnon
functional requirements documents.
Prepare testing artefacts that ensure coverage of functional andnonfunctional requirements
including test scenarios testcases test data defect reports.
Report defects clearlyexplaining the test cases and test scenarios to the developmentteam.
Provide support to the development team tounderstand the defect data used for testing and support
the development team in root cause analysis
Preparesoftware testing metrics including defect counts status of defectsageing of defects defect
per module etc.
Ensure 100% execution of functional and nonfunctional systems testcases.
Ensure that all application interfaces and NFRitems are tested.
Automate the generation of relevantmetrics to ensure that proper visibility is provided to thequality. Job Specific Skills: Create automation scripts for test cases and ensurethat they are integrated with the CI/CD pipelines is
good to have. About You: Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycleincluding Requirements analysis Test Planning
Test casedevelopment Test environment setup Test ExecutionClosure.
Hands on experience in developing automationscripts and synthetic transactions using
Selenium/Appiumand Cucumber will be added advantage.
Provide technicalexpertise in Testing Methodologies Testing Processes Tools andTechniques is good
to have.
Experiance inDisaster recovery testing (crash/recovery) in distributedenvironments (failover
strategies messaging streaming)Security testing (TLS secured channels authenticationauthorization
session handling) Usability testing of webportal (response times)
Experience in testing mobileapps and websites using cloud platforms like Browerstack
Experience in monitoring of all the QA activitiestest results leaked defects root cause analysis and
identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required toimprove the processes.
Gather and present testingmetrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholdersis good to
have.
Must have good analyticalskills and must be a good learner of new business processes systemsand
should focus on continuous QA improvements includingusage of appropriate testing tools test
techniques testautomation.
Ensure the proper usage of available toolsto gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort. Thisincludes
testing tools for functional automationetc.
Must have good customer facingskills.
