About the role
About the role The Specialist - Operations Support Underground provides specialist advice and governance to Orica Asia underground operations in the development and embedding of the regional underground field operations standards and procedures.
What you will be doing
Provide support and specialist advice to Orica Asia underground operations in the development and embedding of the regional underground field operations standards and procedures (in accordance with the Group standards) to ensure our SHES risks are managed, efficient and sustainable underground operations and compliance with regulations Leads and supports the embedding of a culture of robust underground operating discipline Supports strategy and long-term sustainable plan for achievement of consistent underground operating standards across the region Leads the coordination of operations system implementation, including field sites sales and services to have alignment on fit for purpose system across the business. Establishes monitoring and measurement to drive underground operational awareness, discipline and excellence in operations.
What you will bring
Minimum 8 years of underground-mine operational experience. Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream. Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups. Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives would be desirable. Demonstrated skills associated with building strong customer relationships Strong communication and engagement skills
