About the role
The Manager - Operations Services manages bulk emulsion explosives manufacturing and distribution site operations efficiently in line with SHES policies and standards.
The Manager - Operations Services provides operational excellence to lead business performance excellence by ensuring the integrity and optimisation of the standard processes, data and systems are maintained and best practice is shared.
What you will be doing
Manage operational activities at major Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion sites in line with applicable Safety, Health, Environment and Security policies Provide support and leadership in the development and embedding of the region operating standards (in accordance with the Group standards) to ensure the highest quality of safety and compliance with regulations Lead the integration and implementation of standards for asset management and equipment maintenance for the region Support and develop an appropriate governance framework for the region to ensure group standards and local regulation is complied. Lead and support the embedding of a culture of robust operating discipline Support strategy and long term sustainable plan for achievement of consistent operating standards across the region. Support the development of strategies to continuously improve fleet equipment maintenance strategies that deliver expected customer performance whilst lowering the Total Cost of Ownership and extending our assets' useful life Manage performance against operations KPIs and actively work to identify methods of improving efficiencies across the operations.
What you will bring
Tertiary qualification in engineering, operations or equivalent 15+ years’ work experience, with at least 5 years in operations management within a field operations/manufacturing/technical environment Experience in mining, explosives, chemical, infrastructure sectors; process improvement and operations management Proven ability to lead a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations of the workstream Proven influencer, able to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups
