We're looking for an Application Engineer with a deep knowledge of AVEVA PI data historian application. Accountabilities:
As an Application Engineer, you will ensure optimum performance and stability for multiple systems for the Manufacturing Systems capability for AstraZeneca Operations. You will understand user requirements, deploy/expand AVEVA PI in sites/lines, provide 2nd/3rd line support, and take ownership of issues through from delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate. You will also develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, liaise with multiple stakeholders, and train, guide and mentor new hires in the team.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- 3-6 years of prior technical support experience with deeper knowledge in AVEVA PI data historian application.
- Experience in implementation, RT reports developments, maintenance and technical support of AVEVA PI system.
- Strong understanding of AVEVA PI architecture and business functionality.
- Rich experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools
- Strong in database (Oracle /SQL) querying and writing stored procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with multiple teams in multiple geographies. 
- Experience on Windows/UNIX application environment and understanding of client-server / distributed computing concepts.
- Understanding of incident, problem, change , release management processes. 
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups.

- Keen to acquire new skills and work on new technology products
- Ability to work in 3 shifts
- Must participate on call rotation with off hours support responsibilities
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Logical mind with keen analytical skills
- Clear and concise communicator, in born written and verbal
- Ability to respond well to pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across team boundaries
