Job Purpose

This position is primarily responsible for the DC/Cloud infrastructure management and operations. Responsible for technical implementation and on-going support

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the program budget and ensure traceability of the program spend
  • Understand PMI/ITIL – Service Management / On-Premise / Cloud Infrastructure as a services best practices into the organization
  • Helps to identify priorities and resource requirements for each project or program
  • Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to On-Premise/ Cloud management to ensure successful delivery of projects into RE ecosystem
  • Prepare assigned project resources with necessary project-related information, ensuring proper understanding of project requirements, roles & responsibilities, work processes, and success criteria
  • Implement the necessary security tools
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Work with key stakeholders to initiate project plans for new deployments, and identify critical dependencies and risks
  • Coordinate with Delivery Lead and act as the escalation point for all delivery issues specific to Infra (On-premise/Cloud) Services
  • Identify and make recommendations for cost saving opportunities
  • Make recommendations for Reserved Instance purchases
  • Analyze and report on Service Levels
  • Produce monthly reports and metrics
  • Work with project stakeholders to break down monthly spend
  • Provide budget recommendations
  • Capacity planning for On-Premise/Cloud workloads
  • Oversee day to day operations (build, deploy, release)
  • Help to define and maintain processes for timely resolution and routing of issues to the correct cloud services team
  • Collaborate and build relationships with internal development, operations and quality engineering teams to ensure proper focus of your team




Work Experience

Education

Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology / Master of Computer Application / Engineering background

 

Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Managing Data Centre – both captive and outsourced
  • Skilled in reviewing project progress/performance and deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Infrastructure project management.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with building and managing scalable On-Premise & cloud services, including experience with Azure Cloud Services platform
  • Experience in Infra management with a strong technical competency.

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms - VMware
  • In depth knowledge of Cloud platforms especially in Azure. All components related to compute, security, integration, storage, HA & DR, traffic manager, load balancing etc.
  • Knowledge about of IBM and Dell Storage, Thick and thin provisioning, Storage virtualization
  • Commvault and other Cloud based backup solutions.
  • Experience of working on Active directory and IDAM platforms (Okta, Google).
  • Experience in working on Citrix, A10,F5 load balancers
  • Akamai and other CDN platforms.
  • Experience in Installing and configuring RHEL, Suse, Windows, Oracle, SQL DB
  • Cloud Email solution - G Suite, O365
