What you will be doing

  • Install, configure and maintain IBM MQ on various platforms including Linux, Unix and windows.
  • Monitor the health and performance of IBM MQ queues, channels and other objects to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to message delivery failures, performance bottlenecks or system errors.
  • Manage Security aspects of IBM MQ, including user authentication and authorization. SSL/TLS encryption and access control.
  • Conduct capacity planning to analyze message traffic patterns and growth trends, ensuring the scalability of the IBM MQ infrastructure.
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data and configurations, regularly testing and validating restore procedures.
  • Optimize IBM MQ performance by fine tuning settings and configurations, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Apply patches, fixes and upgrades to IBM MQ software, ensuring compatibility and conducting thorough testing.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IBM MQ configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with other teams and application owners to understand requirements and provide support for Integrating applications with IBM MQ.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises to ensure the readiness of IBM MQ infrastructure for unforeseen events.
  • Experience in Production Support 24x7 including Incident, Change and Problem Management.
  • Raising support cases for critical incidents.
  • Knowledge on SLA, OLA and MTTR, ITIL certification is a plus


 

What you bring :

  • Systems Administrator Senior with 3-8 years of experience in IBM MQ
  • .Strong Knowledge of IBM MQ Installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • .Hands on Experience in AWS/EKS, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Hands on Experience in Scripting - Python, Shell, Ansible or any Orchestration tools.
  • Added knowledge in Devops - CI/CD - Jenkins, Bitbucket etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and best practice
