Weare looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee generalaccounting operations by controlling and verifying our financialtransactions.

SeniorAccountant responsibilities include reconciling account balancesand bank statements maintaining general ledger and preparingmonthend close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combinesexcellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accountingprinciples to analyze financial reports andforecasts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financialstatements for various real estate assets ensuring accuracy andcompliance with accounting standards .
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaboratewith management to develop budgets and financial forecasts for realestate projects and portfolios. Monitor actual performance againstbudgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
  3. Financial Analysis: Conduct indepthfinancial analysis of real estate investments including ROIcalculations cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis.Provide insights to support decisionmaking regarding acquisitionsdispositions and property management strategies.
  4. General Ledger Maintenance: Overseethe general ledger accounting process including journal entriesreconciliations and monthend close procedures. Ensure properdocumentation and classification of transactions related toproperty operations leasing and financing.
  5. Tax Compliance: Coordinate withexternal tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations andoptimize tax strategies for real estate transactions. Prepareschedules and supporting documentation for tax filings includingproperty tax returns and partnership tax returns.
  6. Internal Controls: Implement andmaintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assetsand ensure the integrity of financial data. Conduct periodic auditsand reviews to identify areas for improvement and mitigaterisks.
  7. LeaseAdministration: Work closely with property managementteams to review lease agreements calculate rent escalations andanalyze lease terms for financial implications. Update leasedatabases and assist in lease abstraction andinterpretation.
  8. Financial SystemsManagement: Utilize accounting software and financialsystems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.Identify opportunities for system enhancements or upgrades toimprove efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Audit Support: Serve as a key liaisonduring external audits providing auditors with requesteddocumentation explanations and analyses. Address audit findings andimplement recommended changes to strengthen internal controls andcompliance.
  10. TeamLeadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staffproviding guidance on technical matters professional developmentand performance management. Foster a collaborative and supportivework environment within the finance team.
  11. Banking Activities: Coordinating with the Bank personnelfor various banking activities.
  12. Handing andsupervision of Directors personal accounts Share account portfolioetc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance orrelated field; CA or equivalent certified preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience in the realestate industry with a strong understanding of real estateaccounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Tally andMicrosoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skillsand attention to detail with the ability to interpret complexfinancial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fastpacedenvironment and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience insupervising and developing accounting professionals.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability tocollaborate crossfunctionally with internal stakeholders andexternal partners.
